The X2 is the one guests photograph before they photograph the beach. Leather seats, proper navigation, and enough power that the climb to Anogeia stops being a chore.
Higher ride height also helps on the rougher asphalt in the south.

Is this the right car for you?
Driving experience
Higher seating gives a much better view over the stone walls that line most Cretan roads, and the extra torque removes the strain on climbs.
Luggage advice
Two large cases plus cabin bags. The square boot swallows beach gear and a cool box without Tetris.
Road suitability
Confident on every paved road on the island, including the rougher asphalt in the south.
Mountain roads
The best choice for Anogeia, Zaros, the Lasithi plateau and long climbs. Note: off-road driving and the Balos gravel track remain strictly forbidden.
Family suitability
Comfortable for four adults or a family of four with real luggage. Child seats available for a small extra fee.
Fuel economy
Moderate. Hybrid versions stay close to a small car in town and only drink on long climbs.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take it on gravel roads?
No. No rental car in Crete may leave sealed roads - including this one. For dirt tracks, book our Jeep Safari instead.
Is there really no deposit?
Correct. No deposit, no excess and no credit-card imprint. You pay for the rental, nothing is blocked on your card.
Where do I collect the car?
We deliver it to your hotel, villa or the airport at no extra cost, and collect it the same way.
Is insurance included?
Yes. Every price includes FCDW full insurance plus WUG - tyres, undercarriage, glass and mirrors - all at €0 excess, along with 24/7 roadside assistance.
Can I take the car on unsealed roads?
No. Every rental agreement in Crete excludes gravel and dirt tracks, and damage there is never covered.
